Pieta

michelangelo-pieta

(The words are from the song “Living Life” by Daniel Johnston — “Hold me like a mother would / Life I’ve always known somebody should.”  I like this cover by The Eels.)

  1. That’s a fine pictature DanO. The Pieta is my most favorite sculpture. Could you curate any potential meanings for us? The Blessed Holy Mother of God as Santa Muerte for instance? Much Obliged.

    • Hi Dan,

I kinda don’t like saying how I understand a drawing until the person who asks me tells me how he or she understands the drawing. So, if you share your thoughts first, I’ll go second!
